Wentworth is a striking architectural residence in Balmoral, Brisbane, where Cactus Culture was engaged to design and install a bold front garden that could stand shoulder to shoulder with the home’s commanding street presence.
The brief was clear: modern, low-maintenance, and sculptural, something that would speak to both the sharp lines of the house, the premium materials used throughout and the stunning vies of the Brisbane city skyline.
We leaned into a palm springs-inspired palette, combining a clean foundation of white pebble with carefully curated specimen Cacti, architectural Euphorbias and premium Agaves. Each plant was selected for its unique silhouette and visual weight, ensuring balance against the strong geometry of the façade.
Our team installed a mix of columnar forms and branching specimens, strategically placed to draw the eye across the space and soften the dark stone boundary wall.
The result is a low-profile but high-impact garden that echoes the monochrome material palette of the home while introducing organic texture and subtle drama. It’s landscape as sculpture, tidy, restrained, and built to stand the test of time
