The Nest in Bardon, an exquisite luxury home developed by M80 Property Group, presented Cactus Culture with an exciting opportunity to transform its outdoor spaces. We were entrusted with the complete design, plant supply, and installation for several key areas, including three distinct rooftop gardens and a prominent cactus garden against a feature stone wall.
For the rooftop gardens, our primary challenge was designing and installing vibrant spaces that would thrive despite minimal planting depth and strict weight limitations. We successfully addressed these constraints by using specialized, lightweight growing media that didn’t sacrifice plant health. This innovative approach ensured both the long-term health of the plants and the structural integrity of the rooftops.
The stone wall garden was a critical element, highly visible from the moment one entered the property. Our focus here was to create a high-impact aesthetic that would captivate both day and night, making a significant statement for the home. We installed over a dozen mature Pachycereus pringlei (Mexican Giant cacti), balanced with Agaves and Golden Barrel cacti in the understory.
Cactus Culture managed the entire landscaping process of these spaces, from initial design concepts to sourcing all plants and executing the final installation.
