Echinopsis terscheckii, sometimes called the Argentine Saguaro and commonly known in cultivation as Trichocereus terscheckii is a giant tree-like cactus native to Argentina. The terscheckii is the largest Echinopsis/Trichocereus with a column width of up to 45cm and a maximum height of 10-12m tall.
In addition to its huge size and classic form, the terscheckii is also prized for its reasonably fast growth rate. Unlike the true Saguaro (Carnegiea gigantea) you can grow the terscheckii from seed to a height of 2m+ within 10-15 years, in ideal conditions.
