  • Endemic to Angola, South Africa and Swaziland found in both high and low altitude areas between 10 and 1500 metres above sea level.

Typically solitary, often found on steep rocky hillsides or on deep sand in wooded grassland.

  • Tolerable or a wide range of conditions.

    Full sun to part shade.

    Let soil dry between waterings.

  • Mature plants can reach 10-15 metres tall and can easily grow more than 1 metre per year. We highly advise to keep this plant in pots. In the ground, this plant can quickly grow out of control and become difficult to manage.

The plant will begin to branch at around 1-2metres tall. Branches can be cut off and propagated to grow new plants.

Cut plants will produce new growth in the form of pups.
