The ideal temperature varies by species, but we typically suggest people set their thermostat to 25C for germination, and increase it to 28 roughly 3 weeks after all seeds have germinated.
How it works
The thermostat is a straightforward device - it’s a power switch with a temperature probe. You plug it into your wall outlet, and your heat mat plugs into the thermostat. You can set a temperature in Celsius or Fahrenheit, which is then measured by a probe placed into the soil of the seed tray on top of your heat mat.
The switch turns on when the measured temperature drops below the set temperature.
The switch turns off when the measured temperature rises above the set temperature.
