The origin of this cultivar is uncertain but almost definitely came from a plant imported to Europe from Brazil in the 1980’s. Extensive cultivation and hybridization has created a few different variations on the cultivar, but they are all generally referred to the same.

Plant spirals become much more noticeable with age and will only really start to show distinct spirals after about 15cm of growth.
In the ground, this plant can grow multiple arms to a height of 5-6 metres.
